 ABOUT MEG STRINGER, APRN

Deciding if children are desired, how to create a family, and living the physical and existential challenges of pregnancy, birth, feeding, and caring for a new person are some of the most amazing and painful experiences we as humans face. When the reality of our present day is added to this, it can feel insurmountable. If your experience has been further complicated by grief, a difficult pregnancy or birth, or a lack of community, it can be even more challenging. Many of us have struggled with our mental health and histories for years and find ourselves stretched to the breaking point by these experiences.

After practicing as a registered nurse, I attended Georgetown University and graduated in 2014 as a nurse practitioner (APRN), specializing in nurse midwifery and women's health. I provided full scope obstetric and gynecological care for a number of years in New Hampshire, and came to a deep understanding that mental health is both essential to and challenged by our reproductive years. To better support the families I worked with, I developed my psychiatric knowledge, seeing many clients with these concerns while maintaining an OB/GYN office practice. Ultimately, I returned to the University of New Hampshire and obtained a post-Master's certification as a psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner in order to further build on my abilities.

My goal is to offer a safe, inclusive, and nonjudgmental atmosphere to support you and offer you choices in treatment, whatever your life and journey looks like.
